Question:

CLOMID isn’t *that* expensive…I mean, relatively and compared to injectables.  What about generic Clomiphene Citrate?  Will your doctor put you on the generic stuff?  Also, it’s not hard to find with a prescription. Are you asking for a donation of Clomid  (as in someone’s leftovers for free?) or did you want to buy it from someone or what? Sorry, maybe it’s late…I just don’t get it. Chele, we are trying to get it cheaper than what the Rx has it for, and I have an appt in the am, and I am going to get a script, but thought that maybe someone had some that they were selling relatively cheap.  I also work at a pharmacy, (Rite Aid) and get emyployee discount, but even then it does not reduce by much.  But the issue here is that as I am sure that everyone going through this understands, where ever you can save a few dollars the this infertility nightmare (have a three year old after chlomid and 3 iui’s) you are willing to pinch from somewhere.  I also am looking ahead at the costs of the tests that need to be done.  My husband and I do not have insurance that covers these expenses.  I hope that this is not a dig, because there are enough children out there that have worse lives than what my husband and I CAN provide, and I tend to get emotional when someone doubts my motives for this treatment. (earlier search for chlomid, I was attacked by someone such as yourself who did not understand who was obviously blessed to have such insurance coverage that I do not) I know all the ins and outs of this, and I am only posting in peace.  Please, understand, and if you do not, than please do not attack what you do not understand.  Thank you .  Deb and Don…..infertile couple looking for the blessings that some people think that they are plainly privy to……(ex: recently on the news here in NH….A teenage girl who denied that she was pregnant to everyone, gave birth to this precious angel in the middle of the night, "no one heard her in labor" and now is being charged with neglectful homicide or somethin g lke that.because the baby died shortly agter birth)
