I was curious about others experience with the generic form of Ritalin. Some folks have stated that the generic form is less effective. Please share your experiences.

I used the generic form, for my 6 year old son, for about a month.  I found that the results were not necessarily weaker but just more inconsistant. Sometime it seemed to be a slightly elevated dosage and weaker other times. Again, I was dealing with a 6 year old at the time and his behavior is pretty unpredictable, but I don’t think this was just the usual variations.

They can also be stronger. Another thing is that the name brands will often vary between lots too.
